A very warm welcome from a wintery Avebury.
Winter solstice has passed and we move slowly each day towards the light of the summer Solstice. We are now in the depths of winter and with Christmas festivities behind us and all our good intentions for the new year ahead of us NOW is the time to really focus on ourselves, our self care and our wellbeing so we are super charging ourselves to spring into Spring.
I know we all have busy lives, stressful times and challenges to face and looking after ourselves may get pushed to the back of the list.
This is a reminder to put yourself at the top of your list and that will have a positive impact in your life.
It’s doesn’t have to be hard, complicated or time consuming. It can be simple easy and enjoyable.
I find using the three N’s, Nature, Nurture and Nourish, provide the perfect and simple daily framework for looking after ourselves.
The 3 N’s Framework is:
Get out in NATURE even if that’s 5 mins standing on some grass, or contemplating a tree, or walking in the park at lunchtime, whatever you can do to connect with nature do so daily. For me this is taking my beloved dog Storm out for a walk everyday, whatever the weather.
Do something to NURTURE yourself. Self care. Whatever it is that works for you, a bath with some nice oils, reading a book, listening to your favourite music, turning your phone off and drinking your favourite tea, stretch, yoga, a nap, just try to avoid the digitals!! Do what works for you and only you know what that is. For me this is a pampering shower weekdays with body brushing and some nice body oil and long salt baths at the weekend.
And last but not definitely least NOURISH, yourself. Keep hydrated, with loads of clean water and eat what nourishes you. We are all different in what works for us but generally fresh, natural and seasonal works best with whatever you like to eat. Avoid processed, refined, sugar and gluten. I like to ask the question before I decide what to buy at the shops or cook ‘does this nourish me?’ And it really helps keep me on track (and out of the chocolate aisle at the supermarket he he)
Please do give it a go and you will see results. I’d love to hear how you get on.

Great blog post! Thank you
